UMHAT “Kaneff” AD is a partner of Ruse Municipality in the project “Integrated Measures for Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups in the Territory of Ruse Municipality,” under the Grant Agreement BG05M9OP001-2.056-007-С01, under the procedure for specific beneficiaries BG05M9OP001-2.056 “Socio-economic Integration of Vulnerable Groups. Integrated Measures to Improve Access to Education” – Component 2, under the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development” (OP HRD) 2014–2020 and the Operational Programme “Science and Education for Smart Growth” (OP SESG) 2014–2020.

Project Overview:

The aim of the project is to integrate people in vulnerable social positions, including those belonging to other ethnic groups, and to overcome their existing negative socio-economic characteristics, enabling them to prosper in society.

The implementation of the project will provide these groups with equal access to opportunities, goods, and services, as well as participation in all areas of public life, thereby improving their quality of life.

UMHAT “Kaneff” AD is involved in the project in the area of improving access to employment.

Objective:
To acquire knowledge, skills, and work habits in a real working environment.

Target Group:
Representatives of vulnerable groups, people at risk and/or victims of discrimination. The activity focuses on providing employment through internships and mentoring for individuals from the target group who are at risk of social exclusion.

As a project partner, UMHAT “Kaneff” AD will provide internship training for:

  • 3 individuals as hospital orderlies,

  • 1 individual as a general worker in a healthcare facility,

  • 2 individuals as social assistants in a healthcare facility,

for a period of 12 months from the project’s start date, in accordance with the Grant Agreement under OP HRD and OP SESG.

Six mentors – employees of UMHAT “Kaneff” AD – will be assigned to support the interns.

Implementation:

The internship will include the acquisition of the following knowledge and skills:

1. For hospital orderlies:

  • Providing basic patient care (changing bed linen, feeding, hygiene assistance, transportation using mobility aids);

  • Disinfection procedures in hospital rooms with varying levels of infection risk (cleaning methods, disinfection types, workflow segregation);

  • Hospital waste management (waste types, separation, storage, transportation).

2. For general workers:

  • Cleaning and disinfection procedures in shared hospital areas and outdoor premises;

  • Hospital waste management, including handling and autoclaving hazardous waste;

  • Maintenance of green spaces, flower beds, and shrubs in the hospital yard.

3. For social assistants:

  • Assisting patients with personal and therapeutic needs;

  • Documenting patient care and condition changes;

  • Communicating with healthcare and social service professionals;

  • Providing emotional support and guidance on nutrition, hygiene, exercise, child care, and adaptation to disability or illness;

  • Assisting new parents with newborn care;

  • Scheduling and accompanying patients to medical appointments or errands.

Expected Results:

Three individuals from vulnerable groups in disadvantaged situations, and three of Roma origin, who by the end of the operation will have either started seeking employment, found employment, engaged in education or training, gained a qualification, or accessed social and healthcare services. These individuals, previously excluded from income-generating activities due to lack of qualifications and low education levels, will be motivated through the internship to remain as hospital employees and realize their potential.

Auction for the leasing of a standalone building

No. 368/12.08.2021

Based on Art. 69, Para. 2, Item 1 of the Health Act (ZLZ) and Art. 5, Para. 1 of the Internal Rules for organizing and conducting auctions for the leasing of properties – owned or provided for use and management by “University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment ‘KANEFF’ AD,” approved by Order No. 618/18.12.2020 of the Executive Director of UMHAT “KANEFF” AD,

I. OPEN a procedure with the subject:
“Conducting an auction for the leasing of a standalone building in the northeastern part of the yard of UMHAT ‘KANEFF’ AD – Laundry.” The auction will be conducted in accordance with the Rules for the implementation of the Public Enterprises Act and the Internal Rules for organizing and conducting auctions for leasing properties – owned or provided for use and management by UMHAT “KANEFF” AD, approved by Order No. 618/18.12.2020 of the Executive Director of UMHAT “KANEFF” AD.

The property is leased for a period of 10 (ten) years, starting from the date of the lease agreement.

Leased object – standalone building or parts of a building or areas owned by UMHAT “KANEFF” AD, with the following description:

Property Description:
Standalone building in the northeastern part of the yard of UMHAT “KANEFF” AD. The building is as follows:

  • Two-story building with a built-up area of 342 sq.m., built in 1978.

    • First floor – reinforced concrete structure, designated as a laundry; natural and artificial lighting; running hot and cold water and sewage. Flooring: mosaic; walls and ceiling: latex. Toilet. Ventilation system installed. The laundry includes a tailoring room, a compressor room, and a storage room.

    • Second floor – metal construction extension built in 1987, housing the sterilization facility. Natural and artificial lighting; running hot and cold water and sewage. Flooring: mosaic and terracotta; walls and ceiling: latex. Toilet and bathroom. Central heating system. Administrative office. There are two small elevators for unsterilized and sterilized materials. The building does not have electricity meters or water meters. There is an option to install a water meter and 2 electricity meters.
