Dr. Ognyan Lechev is a specialist in otolaryngology (ENT) and the head of the ENT department at UMHAT “Kaneff”. He is a recognized specialist in the field of otolaryngology with over 30 years of clinical experience. He graduated in medicine in 1984 from the Higher Medical Institute in Pleven, and in 1992, he obtained his specialization in otolaryngology at the Medical Academy in Sofia. Since 2017, he has been the head of the ENT department at University Hospital “Kaneff”.
Clinical interests and competencies: Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the nose, throat, and ears; Surgical treatment of tonsils; Surgery of the nasal septum and sinuses; Audiological diagnostics and hearing aid fitting; Biopsies and minimally invasive outpatient interventions.
