Today, a cooperation agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Vasiliy Kochurko, Rector of Baranovichi State University in the Republic of Belarus, and Eng. Ivan Ivanov, Director of University Hospital “Kaneff” in Ruse.
“The university hosts over ten international scientific and practical conferences, forums, round tables, and more. The international contacts in the fields of scientific, educational, and cultural interaction significantly expand every year,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vladimir Klimuk, Deputy Rector for Research at Baranovichi State University.
“The implementation of the agreements will support the conduction of joint scientific research, exchange of scholars and interns based on individual invitations sent between the countries, with the parties ensuring the possibility of covering their stay,” said the Executive Director of UMHAT “Kaneff” Ivan Ivanov.
He added that in 2020, UMHAT “Kaneff” AD established a department for research and educational activities to ensure the implementation of institutional and program accreditation procedures.
As part of its effective scientific and research activities, UMHAT “Kaneff” has signed cooperation agreements with Plovdiv Medical University, D.A. TsenoV University of Economics in Svishtov, the Academy for Music, Dance, and Fine Arts “Prof. Asen Diamandiev” in Plovdiv, as well as with the Regional Library “Lyuben Karavelov” in Ruse, Ruse Chamber of Commerce, Knowledge Management Institute in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, and now with Baranovichi State University in Belarus.
Baranovichi State University in Belarus was established in 2004, and its structure includes faculties for regular education (engineering, foreign languages, pedagogy, financial-law) and faculties for part-time education (engineering, pedagogy, financial and legal), as well as a Continuing Education and Retraining Institute. The university has 28 departments and 339 faculty members, with seven holding a Doctorate in Science and 45 with the educational and scientific degree of “Doctor.” The university currently educates around 6,000 students.
In 2005, the Faculty for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel was created, and projects under the National Research Program began to be implemented. The First International Scientific and Practical Conference for Young Researchers was held.
In 2006, Lyakhovichi State Agricultural College became part of the university as a separate structural unit. The first large-scale fundamental research project was also implemented.
In 2007, the Distance Learning Center was established, and in 2009, the Institute for Advanced Training and Continuing Education was created.
In 2014, the Scientific and Pedagogical School “Scientific and Technological Foundations for the Production and Hardening of Highly Loaded Mechanical Parts and Tools” was founded. With the support of the Physics and Technology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, a laboratory for high-energy hardening methods was opened.
The scientific-practical journal “BarSU Bulletin” is included in the publications of the Higher Attestation Commission and the Russian Index for Scientific Citation (RSCI), and since 2020, it has been included in the Index Copernicus scientific database. The university also publishes the electronic scientific journal “Scientific Trends.”
The university has international centers: the Turkish Language and Culture Center, the Belarusian Resource Center for Inclusive Education, and the Chinese Research Center.
In 2020, a “Confucius” class was created in collaboration with the South-Western University of Forestry and Agriculture. That same year, the university opened the Technology Transfer Center, which became part of Belarus’s innovation infrastructure.
We remind you that UMHAT “Kaneff” together with the Regional Library “Lyuben Karavelov,” began publishing the electronic scientific journal “Society and Health.” In 2020, two issues were published in three volumes.
The journal is indexed in the following databases: Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), CEEOL – Central and Eastern European Online Library in Frankfurt, Germany, and the SSRN electronic library – Rochester, USA. The journal is listed in the reference list of the National Center for Information and Documentation (NACID) under the Ministry of Education and Science.
The scientific journal is accessible on the internet platforms of UMHAT “Kaneff” the Regional Library “Lyuben Karavelov,” Google Scholar, and ResearchGate.
In 2020, UMHAT “Kaneff” AD financed scientific research, supporting scientists, researchers, and doctors in publishing their work in various Bulgarian and foreign scientific publications. Over 178 scientific articles were published, with 40% of them in the referenced systems of Web of Science and SCOPUS.
Together with the Regional Library “Lyuben Karavelov,” a virtual library was created and is operational, accessible to the employees of UMHAT “Kaneff” AD. This unit is established as a branch of the Regional Library.
The VII International Scientific Conference “Evolution vs. Revolution or Models of Development” was organized and held. The forum was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and with the support of the “Scientific Research” Fund, under Agreement KP – 06-MNF-5 / 15.09.2020. 128 participants with 111 reports from 8 countries – Russia, Serbia, Italy, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Romania, Belarus, and Bulgaria, took part in the conference dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of Zahari Stoyanov. For the first time, it was organized by three co-organizers – the Regional Library “Lyuben Karavelov” – Ruse, the Academy for Music, Dance, and Fine Arts “Prof. Dr. Asen Diamandiev” – Plovdiv, and University Multi-Profile Hospital for Active Treatment “Kaneff” AD – Ruse.
The proceedings of the conference will be indexed in Google Scholar, the Russian Scientific Electronic Library (eLIBRARY.RU), SSRN, CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library), and the National Center for Information and Documentation (NACID).
