Cooperation between the Faculty of Finance at the D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics – Svishtov and University Hospital “Kaneff” – Ruse

The meeting was attended by Prof. Andrey Zahariev, Dean of the Faculty of Finance at D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics – Svishtov and Chairman of the Board of the Academic Foundation “Prof. Dr. Minko Rusev”. The Svishtov professor is the author of over 200 scientific publications and has extensive experience in regional development and cooperation between science, business, and local authorities. The discussion focused on the signing of a tripartite memorandum of cooperation between UMHAT “Kaneff”, the Svishtov Faculty of Finance, and the academic foundation named after the founder of the first Bulgarian finance department – the “Finance and Credit” department at D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. The possibilities for joint participation in SCOPUS / WoS indexed international scientific forums were discussed, given the good reputation of the scholars from the Faculty of Finance, where more than half of the doctoral students and over 70% of the publications in international reference databases come from the Svishtov higher education institution. Prof. Zahariev highly praised the work of the hosts from UMHAT “Kaneff”, both in the main healthcare activity and in the scientific aspect, where the university profile of the medical institution creates a fruitful territory for scientific work. During the discussions, the Executive Director of University Hospital “Kaneff”, Eng. Ivan Ivanov, confirmed the interest in cooperation with the partners from Svishtov.
