Multipurpose Emergency Department
The Multi-Profile Emergency Department (MSO) is the busiest unit at UMHBL “Kanev.” A medical team works 24/7 to provide medical assistance to patients in emergency conditions.
In the MSO, patient admission, medical triage, stabilization, diagnostics, treatment, and specialist consultations for emergency patients are performed.
The waiting time may be extended due to a more urgent case arriving after you. This means that patients who arrive after you may be seen first.
Our goal is to ensure that you are seen and your condition is assessed as quickly as possible. Based on the initial assessment, the medical team will determine the urgency of your condition and develop a plan for diagnosis and necessary treatment. Your condition may require laboratory and imaging tests, as well as a consultation with a specialist.
Tests are conducted in the Clinical Laboratory and Imaging Diagnosis departments, which operate 24/7 and support all other departments and clinics in the facility. These tests are necessary for accurate diagnosis of your symptoms and may take anywhere from one to several hours. We will do our best to make your visit as short as possible, but first, we must ensure that you receive the appropriate care.
If your problem is more serious, the MSO medical team will advise you to be admitted to the hospital. Since your admission is unplanned, it may take some time.
Apparatus
The department is equipped with modern equipment for the treatment of critical impairments in the vital functions of patients.
