Department of Imaging Diagnostics
The department has implemented all conventional and modern imaging methods – radiographic, ultrasound, and tomographic – which assist in the diagnostic and therapeutic process across hospital units. The following are performed: digital radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging; native and contrast imaging of the head, chest, spine, abdomen, and limbs; CT angiographies of the brain, body, and limbs; dental planning for tooth implantation; magnetic resonance imaging of the head, spine, abdomen, and limbs. All radiographic exams comply with the national standard for imaging and involve minimal radiation exposure. The results are provided to patients within one hour on the same day in the form of images and a disk recording, accompanied by a qualified doctor’s interpretation of the examination.
Inpatient
The imaging department is located on the ground floor of the Surgical Block of the hospital, in close proximity to the hospital entrance and a ramp facilitating the transportation of patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs.
Apparatus
The “Imaging Diagnostics” department is equipped with high-tech equipment that guarantees high accuracy of imaging:
The GE 1.5T Explorer MRI provides extremely detailed images with high resolution, which is crucial for diagnosing a wide range of conditions, from orthopedic to neurological.
The Canon Aquilion Lightning CT scanner is a state-of-the-art device with 180 slices and utilizes artificial intelligence technologies such as the Advanced intelligent ClearIQ Engine (AiCE). This innovation improves image quality, reduces unnecessary noise, and significantly optimizes radiation dose, ensuring safer conditions for the patient. The Siemens Somatom Definition AS CT scanner provides highly detailed scans while ensuring minimal radiation exposure. It is ideal for diagnosing cardiovascular, pulmonary, and abdominal diseases.
The mammography machine provides high-quality images with the capability for early detection of breast diseases. The technology is as comfortable and gentle for patients as possible, while delivering excellent precision in the images. The Shimadzu RADSpeed Pro digital X-ray system delivers clear images with minimal radiation exposure. This equipment is suitable for examining bones, lungs, and soft tissues while being fast and efficient.
With its precise and clear visualization, the Canon Aplio ultrasound machine is ideal for preventive examinations of the breasts and abdominal organs. Its sensitive technology allows for the detection of small tissue changes, which is crucial for early diagnosis. Additionally, the machine is suitable for preventive exams of infants, ensuring gentle and safe examinations for the smallest patients.
