Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases (ENT)
The department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases and traumatic injuries in the area of the ears, nose, and throat, applying medical standards and good medical practices.
Highly specialized diagnostic procedures and surgeries are performed, including: laryngostroboscopy; fiberbronchoscopy; fibroepipharyngorhinoscopy; microlaryngoscopy; microotoscopy; microlaryngeal surgery; hearing-improving surgeries; surgeries for correcting nasal breathing; bronchoscopy; esophagoscopy; bougie dilation for esophageal strictures; audiometry; tympanometry; ultrasound examination of the paranasal sinuses; creation of protocols for hearing aids; tonsillectomy surgeries for children and adults; surgeries to correct nasal breathing; removal of polyps and tumor formations in the nasal cavities; surgeries for the removal of nasal septum deviations; ear surgeries; plastic reconstruction following eardrum trauma; surgical treatment of serious otitis with and without the placement of ventilation tubes; surgical removal of tumor formations from the ears, nose, and throat; surgical treatment of inflammatory diseases in the ears, nose, and throat; treatment of hearing loss and tinnitus; treatment of acute and chronic sinusitis; functional endonasal sinus surgery.

The department is located on the 11th floor of the Surgical Block of the hospital. It has 12 beds in 9 hospital rooms.

Apparatus
The ENT department is equipped with a videolaryngostroboscope with a camera and monitor, a fiberbronchoscope, a fiber-rhinolaryngoscope (epipharyngoscope), a laryngoscope, audiometers, a soundproof chamber, operating microscopes, sets for microlaryngeal and ear microsurgery, electrocautery, thermocautery, rigid bronchoesophagoscopes, a sinuson, a set of bougies for esophageal dilation, and an operational system for functional endonasal sinus surgery.
