Dr. Emil Milanov is an ophthalmologist and the head of the Ophthalmology Department at UMHAT “Kaneff” in Ruse. He is a specialist in eye diseases with over 40 years of experience and has been the long-time head of the ophthalmology department at UMHAT “Kaneff” in Ruse. He graduated from the Medical Academy in Sofia in 1979 and began his professional career at the Ruse hospital in 1980, where he specialized in ophthalmology. He obtained his specialization in eye diseases after a four-year residency.
Clinical competencies: Diagnosis and treatment of cataracts and glaucoma; Surgery of the anterior segment of the eye; Laser therapy for retinal diseases; Screening and monitoring of eye diseases related to diabetes and hypertension.
