Dr. Lilia Georgieva is a specialist with long-standing practice in the field of neonatology and one of the leading experts in newborn care in the region. She graduated in medicine in 1996 from the Medical University – Pleven. In 2013, she obtained a specialization in neonatology, as well as additional qualifications in transfontanellar ultrasound. Since 2006, she has been part of the team at the “Neonatology” department of the Obstetrics and Gynecology complex at UMHAT “Kaneff,” where she is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of newborns, including premature and those with risk conditions. Currently, she is also the head of the department.
Clinical interests: Care for premature newborns; Monitoring and intensive care in the early neonatal period; Ultrasound diagnostics in newborns.
