Dr. Yordan Andonov, MD"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. Dr. Yordan Andonov, MD &#8211; Head of the Clinic of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital &#8220;Kaneff&#8221;. He graduated from the Medical University &#8211; Varna in 1997 and specialized in orthopedics and traumatology in 2002. In 2010 he defended his doctoral degree at the University Hospital &#8220;Pirogov&#8221;. He started his career as a specialist at the Ruse Hospital in 1998 and later became a resident physician. Assoc. Andonov was trained under prof. Franz Grill in Vienna, one of the leading orthopaedists in Europe, as well as in prestigious orthopaedic centres in Germany. In 2021, he applied for the first time in Bulgaria an innovative method for the treatment of severe knee fracture, which significantly shortens the recovery period of patients. Assoc. Andonov is an active participant in scientific congresses, a member of the editorial board of the journal &#8220;Orthopedics and Traumatology&#8221;, and a winner of international awards, including the award of prof.
